Some research suggests that chocolate milk is a great post-run recovery drink. What if you don’t have chocolate milk? Maybe chocolate chip pancakes, chocolate cheesecake, and hot chocolate would work. It’s worth giving a try, and that happens to be the post-race food at the annual Chocolatathon. Run a 5K or a 10K and then enjoy the chocolate!
The race location is Cook Park in Tigard. The course is a throwback to the original Uberthons course, taking runners through Cook, Tualatin Community, and Durham City parks. It’s a mostly flat route, with a slight rise across the bridge over the Tualatin River, and a short steep climb in Durham City Park.
It’s an Uberthons event, so it comes with chip timing and instant results, finisher’s medals, age group winner pins, and overall winner medals. You can check out my recap of last year’s race here.
