Mt. Hood Races

Clackamas Ranger Station Mt. Hood

The Mt Hood race is a Pacific Northwest classic. Almost all of the 50M and much of the 50K are run on the heavily-shaded Pacific Crest Trail. The 25K distance doesn’t use the PCT, but take racers around Clackamas and Timothy Lakes on some great single-track and double-track trails. The Mt Hood 50 Mile race fills up quickly so we use a lottery to give more people an opportunity to enter. Registration begins on Sunday January 1st at 7:00 a.m. Pacific and will stay open until the 7th at 6:00 pm Pacific. We will draw the names on Saturday, January 8th at TBA time/place with the first 150 selected getting into the race. Those not selected are placed onto the wait list in the order they are drawn. Registration will reopen, for the wait list, on January 10th. The 50K and 25K are not lotteries and […]

Stunning and Epic on May 20th, 2023 Come Run with us for 50 Miles, 50K, or 25K in one of the most challenging and beautiful places on the planet. Nestled in the Heart of the Willamette Valley sits the highest peak in the Oregon Coast Range Marys Peak at 4101 Ft. Marys Peak was known as Chateemanwi, or “place of spiritual power” to the native Kalapuya tribe who used the land for spirit quests. Nestled on her slopes are a town, cemetery and old logging railroad. The streams that flow down the mountain’s sides provide water to Corvallis from the Rock Creek Watershed. Many of the lands surrounding Marys Peak were privately owned, until they were added to the Siuslaw National Forest to protect the source that provides Corvallis with 40% of their drinking water.

Elk-Kings Trail Races

Smith Homestead Tillamook State Forest

These are rugged races that involve scrambling up rocky mountains and descended steep trails. A real mountain race! The 25K race is a very steep and technical course run on single-track trails in the Tillamook State Forest. Runners will summit two mountains – Elk and Kings Mountains – and involve 5,800 feet of gain. The 50K course changed in 2022. Now, the 50K racers get to go up and down Elk and Kings Mountains just like the 25Kers. This is a much more technical course, with 7,500 feet of gain. Both races finish at the Smith Homestead, near the Tillamook Forest Center. This is where all runners pick up their bibs and where the 50K racers start. The 25K runners take a shuttle to the start near Elk Creek campground. This is legit hard. But […]
