Elk-Kings Trail Races
October 2 @ 7:45 AM - 5:00 PM PDT$80 – $115
The 25K race is a very steep and technical course run on single-track trails in the Tillamook State Forest. Runners will summit two mountains – Elk and Kings Mountains – and involve 5,800 feet of gain. This Tillamook forest race is a tough, but you are up for it. A real mountain race!
And you thought the 25K was a steep and technical course. With this Mountain Marathon (27.5 mile) race you’ll go up the backside of Elk Mountain, over to King’s summit, down and back up to the Elk summit before heading back over to King’s and then the finish. That’s 8,000 feet of gain and a little more in loss!
The 50K, is less technical but run on single-track trails all along the Wilson River Trail and has 6,500 feet of gain. It is a double out and back.
All three races will finish at the Smith Homestead, instead of at the Tillamook Forest Center. This is where all runners pick up their bibs and where the 50K racers start. This change will make it simpler for you to get back to your car after the race and give everyone a better post-race experience as we’ll have the place to ourselves. The races will no longer finish at the Tillamook Forest Center.
