Eclectic Edge Racing brings to you a very unique and fabulously fun event on Sunday, January 22nd, 2023. The 2023 Winter Predictor event features both a 5k and a 10k distance at Alton Baker Park in Eugene. What is so deliciously awesome about the Winter Predictor event is that it’s not about running fast! Seriously?! Yes! You read that correctly!

Here’s the low-down. This event is all about rewarding your ability to predict your finish time prior to crossing the start line. You will not be able to wear watches or other timing devices, so leave those at home. Runners and walkers are welcome to participate.
The prediction awards will be based on which participants are able to predict, and finish closest to, their predicted finish time. The top 25 in both the 5k and 10k distances with finish times closest to their predictions will receive awards. Also the top male and female who are closest to their predictions will receive a “Champion Shirt.” The grand prize, $100 cash, will be awarded to the participant who finishes their event in the exact time that the predicted. If there is more than one participant who qualifies for this, a name among those will be drawn from a hat, as there is only ONE cash prize!!
Winter Predictor
If you’d rather run something a bit more on the traditional race path, you can also choose for the non-prediction age group awards, where the top three in each age group will earn awards. Additionally, the overall male and female fastest runners will receive a “Champion Shirt.”
