Yo Ho Yo: Santa’s Posse 5k is Coming to Camas

“Santa” and “posse” are not words that I’ve thought of together before. But add in “Run” and anything becomes possible.

2022 Santa’s Posse 5k Run/Walk is a chance to celebrate and do some good in the world, which are two of my favorite things in a race. All participants receive a full Santa’s suit as part of registration. And this is a serious suit: jacket, pants, hat, and beard. Plus, you’ll receive a finisher’s medal that also serves as an ornament to deck out the tree. There’s also a post-event happy hour along with the awards ceremony. Kids 12 and under will race free and youths ages 13 to 17 will pay 50% of the full rate of $50. Bring the whole family and make this race a tradition.

Along with the fun is a chance to do some good. Proceeds from this event will help out Kindness 911, which is a nonprofit that connects local law enforcement agencies with those that they directly serve. These groups need to be connected, especially during the holiday season where giving thanks should be at the forefront of our minds.

Be part of something just plain good this December.
