The end of the year music is always hit or miss. It seems like there are a limited number of albums put out each week (aside from Christmas albums) so there is less and less to choose from. Most artists want to be somewhere on the always popular Top-10 lists – and late month releases don’t always find themselves there.

When I entered college in 2004, all I listened to was country music. I was boot deep (figuratively) in Tim McGraw, Kenny Chesney, and Garth Brooks. These are obviously not bad musicians, but seeing as I grew up in the suburbs, it hardly resonated with me in any sort of meaningful level.
