It isn’t too often that my best albums of the month start with hip-hop (Sims) and closes out with the likes of Tony Bennett. But that’s what September brought me this month.
In September, my racing was limited to a couple half marathons – the Hagg Hybrid and Champoeg Half . For whatever reason, I felt myself falling into a slower groove with my music instead of being primarily listening to loud driving beats. My choices of Tony Bennett, Tennis, Ryan Adams, Hiss Golden Messenge, and Delta Spirit all kept things light.
A few other mid-tempo jams from For King and Country, Judan & the Lion, and Lights found their way alongside the rapping Sims to keep the tempo of the playlist varied.
While last month may not have had the loud rocking jams, the music in September overall was one of the more creative of the year.
