December is the hardest month to put together a solid list of songs. Releases are spread thin as everyone is gearing up for Top-10 lists (be on the lookout for mine next week). The albums being released tend to be EP’s, remix or cover albums, and Christmas collaborations. Needless to say, pulling together 9 songs is a challenge – but I did it.
That meant that I had to dig deep and pull songs from EP’s (James Blake and Dresses), covers (The Griswolds), and remixes (Penguin Prison). I was able to pull a few from some actual albums (Tycho, Volbeat, Sullivan, and Walk the Moon) and from Nicki Minaj – who is awful. But I just can’t get this stupid song out of my head because of this awesome girl.
