Run Oregon Tunes: 2014 February Playlist

run-oregon-tunes-playlist- february

Apparantly, I should have a mustache and wear skinny jeans. At least for February. While I admit to having a wide-arching taste in music, I appeared to fall in love (a Valentine’s miracle!) with “underground” Indie music this month. Tunes by Mt. Royal (falsetto for realz!), Temples (a VERY big Beatles-y vibe in the chosen song), and an indie-folk jam by Jamestown Revival had me enthralled.

I added a couple bass-heavy techno/electronic tracks (one by hilariously-named band Com Truise) and, surprisingly enough, I also ended up with 2 songs titled “Run”. My favorite song of the month is probably the lead track on this playlist, Home by Now by Bombay Bicycle Club.

I ran two races in February – the Zena Road Runs 15k and the Heartbreaker Half, though both were mostly with tunes from January. Overall, I consider this month a great one for music – even outside of this playlist. A few other non-running music recommendations I may put forth:

  • Bear Hands – Distraction
  • Noah Gunderson – Ledges
  • St. Paul and the Broken Bones – Half the City

What were your top albums of February?
