Run Oregon Tunes: 2014 October Playlist

After a solid and creative September, I felt that the month of October fell a little flat. There were a few good albums overall, but I had a hard time finding 9 songs that I foudn worthy for a best-of playlist.

Check out the playlist here!!

In October, my main race was the Columbia Gorge Half Marathon. Even with it being at the end of the month, I didn’t really find enough worthy songs in October to take on the race. Instead I went for my tried and true Hip Hop motivation playlist. This lasted for about 8 miles before my iPhone died. It was probably for the best, as the Columbia Gorge is meant to be experienced naturally.

I found October to be so lacking that the opening and closing songs in this playlist are actually short instrumental tracks that led and closed a few solid albums by There for Tomorrow and Gates. In between were songs by Fall Out Boy and Andrew McMahon, both being artists from my past. Also included are more recent musical acts Lights and Cold War Kids, as well as some tunes by start-ups Haerts and Milky Chance. And rounding out the playlist is mainstream County darlings, Florida Georgia Line. I will be the first to admit that I am embarassed I enjoy these guys for some reason. I guess you like what you like!

Hopefully November brings on some solid music again. From what I have heard already, I am excited!
