Embracing Comfort: Branwyn’s Merino Wool Collection for Active Women

After a good pair of running shoes, the most essential thing for a female runner is the sports bra. It is the piece of clothing that is going to most impact comfort, confidence, and not ending the run with bruises in all sorts of new places.

In opening the package from Branwyn Performance Innerwear, I could tell immediately that comfort was handled. Their collection of merino wool underwear and bras is a game-changer for active women. Their products are thoughtfully designed to cater to the specific needs of runners. The cloth for the Essential Bikini and Busty Bra were some of the softest materials I had ever felt. And knowing they were for athletes was just a treat.

Essential Bikini ($36)

This has been a standout as is has thus far provided unparalleled comfort during runs. The waistband is secure but soft, eradicating any discomfort from digging or rolling. The merino wool not only assists with moisture-wicking, but after numerous washes I feel this is going to retain its shape, avoiding the common issue of stretching that often plagues cotton-based undergarments.

Busty Bra ($58)

This bra is designed to provide ample support without compromising on comfort. I tried this out during numerous workouts – walking, light running, weightlifting, and longer runs. The Busty Bra was up to the challenge in the first three scenarios. It was moisture-wicking, thanks to the merino, and held me in place. For longer runs, I still felt I would need a bit more compression. Regardless, it has a place in my running wardrobe for sure.

Branwyn clearly had the needs of women in mind from the fabrics to the materials to the marketing. I loved that the website included diverse models and clearly indicated who was wearing what size. The models were normal human beings, with stretch marks and imperfections. Just Like Me!

Overall, I just appreciated so much about what Branwyn is doing as a company. They highlight three main values: commitment, materials, and sustainability. The language used throughout the website was very clear and engaging. The reviews on the website highlighted customer experiences, with those who had negative experiences being responded to with support and next steps. And it has to be said again: I loved those models for the brand.
