2023 Race Series Preview: Why Racing Events

Have you ever asked yourself why you run, maybe you still need to try out one of Why Racing Events many running and triathlon events throughout the year. Why Racing does a great job of offering up great swag,  organized races and weekend festivals, and there is a distance or event for everyone. Even better, if you participate in more than one of their multiple events during one of their festivals (for instance, a 5k on Saturday and a 10k on Sunday,) you have a chance to win extra medals made just for the BEAST you are. We started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. We also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support local race organizers.
