Style, Stretch, and Support to Reach Beyond: Mizuno Wave Sky 6

I am so glad that I got to add the new Mizuno Wave Sky 6 shoes into my running this fall. They are a simple looking shoe that has a lot of beauty in the details.

Let’s start with the fabric on the shoe. My “Ultimate Grey” pair had the look of a topographic design all over it with a quilted feeling. And it stretched in every direction, letting my toes feel supported and still with plenty of room. The line of rainbow on the outside was just like the silver linings runners are hoping for around all those cloudy skies.

The base of the shoe was well supported with a thick foam that made them perfect for recovery runs. According to their website, the intention was to “feel like floating” and I definitely felt that. I also (at 5’5”) appreciated just a little bit of height out of the puddles and toward the beautiful horizon. The balance between structure and space worked well for my neighborhood runs this month.

Here’s a few more key details on the Mizuno Wave Sky 6:

  • MIZUNO ENERZY CORE: Delivering the most resiliency and softness. It improves comfort and adds spring to drive optimum performance.
  • MIZUNO ENERZY (FOAM): Offering versatility in its application, while still maintaining softness and resilience. It will help enhance performance capabilities.
  • MIZUNO WAVE®: The MIZUNO WAVE® plate disperses energy from impact to a broader area providing a stable platform and a superior cushioning.

  • X10 Outsole: Durable carbon rubber that allows for longer wear.
    • Stretch Woven Upper
    • Drop: 8mm
    • Weight: 9.1 oz (size 8)
