Lug Yourself Over the Cascades to the 2022 Haulin’ Aspen

Oregon offers a lot of different scenery with plenty of trails through all of them. Lay It Out Events in Bend gives you the opportunity to run through beautiful Ponderosa pine forests (which smell of butterscotch!) with breathtaking mountain views. At the Haulin’ Aspen Trail Run you can choose between the Full, Half, or Half-As (6.55mi) Marathon, and athletes of all speeds are welcome.

Check out a Run Oregon recap here and here!

The race starts and ends at the Wanoga Sno-Park on Cascade Lakes Scenic Byway between Bend and the Mt Bachelor ski area. The course takes runners on single track, double track trails, and forest service roads. No matter the distance you choose, you can expect rolling hills, some steeper than others. Runners will be well supported with six aid stations on the marathon course (two are hit twice, so there are actually eight opportunities for aid,) three on the half course, (one hit twice so four opportunities,) and two on the Half-As course. After the run, enjoy a craft beer (for those of legal drinking age) and stick around for the awards ceremony.
