Race Preview: 2021 Corvallis Turkey Trot 5k/10k/Little Gobblers 1k

The Corvallis Turkey Trot is back this year with its 5k, 10k, and 1k Little Gobblers kids’ run on Thanksgiving morning, November 25. Organized by Corvallis Parks and Rec, this event benefits the Parks and Rec Scholarship fund, providing low or no cost program registration to low income families.

The races start and end at Osborn Aquatic Center (map). The start times are staggered to alleviate congestion in the starting area and on the course. 10k walkers start first at 7:45am, followed by 10k runners at  8:05am. Finally, the 5k runners and walkers take off at 8:15. The course for the 5k and 10k is the same loop, which is taken twice for the 10k. The Little Gobblers 1k will start at 9:15am, which should be after most 5k/10k participants have finished their race. Their course will take them onto the middle school running track, where a suggested 2.5 laps adds up to the 1k distance.

Registration is open! The cost is $45 for the 5k or 10k, which includes a shirt and medal. Little Gobblers registration costs $18. Packet pickup is available Wednesday, November 24, 12-7pm in front of Osborn Aquatic Center, and 6:30-7:30am on race morning.

If you don’t plan to run but want to support the cause, you can do so by clicking on the registration link, then choosing “donations” from the top banner on the ActiveNet registration site.

Please be informed about local Covid regulations and follow the directions of event staff at all times.
