Run Oregon is Kickin’ It in HOKA ONE ONE Arahi 4

A new pair of shoes is always exciting, and my new HOKA ONE ONE Arahi were no different. This latest iteration of HOKA’s road running stability shoe features a medium cushion, breathable upper material (great for summer days), and a 5mm heel to toe drop. Knowing from previous models that HOKA runs a little bigger compared to other shoe brands I own, I ordered it half a size smaller than other running shoes, so if it’s your first time trying HOKA it would be best for you to try them on in store.

Over the past few months since receiving these shoes I have done a lot of walking (less running), and the HOKA Arahi have been fantastic. The toe box gives plenty of space, the tongue pads the top appropriately, the heel cradles my heel without putting pressure on my sensitive Achilles tendon, and the padding and sole are just right to keep your feet happy. At 8oz weight, they feel light and “barley there” on long work days as well.

One of our groundbreaking stability shoes, the fourth edition of the Arahi continues to break the mold with comfortable support. The Arahi 4 provides a ride that is smooth and supportive but still prioritizes performance. Featuring our patent-pending J-Frame™ stability technology, the Arahi 4 offers support and agility throughout your run. Complete with an all-new upper, the Arahi 4 is light and sleek on every mile.
  • Simplified and stripped back upper offers a lighter and more refined feel
  • Updated upper offers structural support and increased breathability
  • Early stage Meta-Rocker provides a smooth ride
  • Firmer EVA J-Frame™ offers lightweight support
  • Flat-waisted geometry provides inherent stability
  • Features zonal rubber placement for durability

HOKA ONE ONE was created with one goal in mind — make running easier. We do things differently, from the look of our shoes all the way to the technologies that make them possible. If you’ve ever worn a pair, you know what the HOKA difference feels like, but there’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes.
