Last minute gift ideas – Subscription boxes for the active person in your life

**This post contains affiliate links

We are getting close to the final stretch of being able to buy gifts and have them arrive in time for the holidays. In fact, the cutoff for many standard shipping dates has come and gone and you may be relegated to…gulp…going in person (and you SHOULD – shopping local is the best!). However, if you are looking for something simple and easy, there are a variety of subscription boxes out there that will provide you with a gift that literally keeps on giving. Here are a few recommendations:

Yoga Club

I’m going out on a limb, but I am going to guess that many female runners’ attire – fitness or otherwise – consist of at least a few activewear/athleisure items. I mean, they are comfortable so why not wear them as much as you can? Yoga Club is an activewear subscription box that styles you for at least 50% off retail. Subscriptions start at $45 (1 pair of leggings) and go up to $75 (for a full 3-item outfit). It’s always great that the items received are tailored to the individual and won’t subject the recipient to something unwanted.

Cairn

For that outdoors person in your life, Cairn is a fantastic option. Their monthly boxes are full of full-sized outdoors gear that have everything from camping and hiking items to running gear to refueling options. They start at $30 per month with discounts if you pay for more months in advance.

Naturebox

I had a personal Naturebox subscription in the past and can attest that it made my snacking habits healthier than they ever were before,. This monthly membership allows recepients to select from over 100 snacks from a variety of categories (savory, sweet, fruit, etc) with no artificial sweeteners, flavors or colors.  There are options for Paleo, vegan, low-fat, low-sugar, etc. so you can easily get something for the specific dietary needs of whoever is on your list.

This isn’t a subscription box as is generally understood. In Naturebox’s case you have 30 days of membership FREE at the beginning and after that, membership is only $30 per year. Members get discounts on all the snacks and the savings add up quickly. You don’t need a membership, but the snacks will be a little more as a result. There are also gift boxes which can be sent to others (or kept for yourself) as well.
