Clean Like a Man with Hardworking Gentleman

I’m a man, therefore I stink. As a result, I am constantly on the prowl for the latest and greatest hygiene products out there that provide me the ability to not seem as gross as my body seems to like to give off. We recently came across Hardworking Gentleman, a company that makes hair, body, and skincare items right here in the USA. They also provide natural and organic ingredients that you don’t necessarily see in many mass-produced hygiene options. We received some samples from across their line to try out.

I have recently started using and enjoying 2-in-1 shampoo/body washes, especially as I have started working out and showering at the gym 3 times/week. I am lugging in enough stuff (clothes, towels, bags, etc) that even streamlining the ability to pack in one bottle instead of multiple is very welcome. Their Natural Shampoo and Body Wash is organic aloe leaf and vegetable glycerin based and did the job as expected.

Both of the soap options have differing smells – the Forest Tonic being more woodsy and fresh, while the Tea Tree Charcoal providing a more hearty scent with a recipe inspired by traditional African Black Soap. I have been utilizing both of these and have found no drying out or skin irritation.

Much like the 2-in-1 mention above, I have started seeking out more natural deodorant options as well. HG’s Natural Pinewood Deodorant s a very refreshingly scented roll-on that does NOT include deodorant standards like aluminum or baking soda. Instead, it is replaced with coconut oil, cocoa butter, and Vitamin E – a combination of natural ingredients that are good for sensitive armpits.

I am not a lotion guy for the most part, though I should probably be. I frequently get mild dry hands and knuckles, but creamy lotions just don’t do it for me (i.e. I can’t stand most of them). HG’s Moisturizing Hemp Lotion is THC-free and loaded with lots of natural ingredients. It is “ultramoisturizing”, which I would agree with. Surprisingly, this may be at the top of lotions I have EVER tried. I didn’t find it too creamy and it didn’t leave my skins feeling clammy. I was blown away!

Along the same line, I haven’t historically been a hand cleanser guy either. However it’s for a different reason than not liking the thick feel of things on my hands. My lack of usage has historically been around how I feel that most significantly dry my hands out and smell too ‘alcohol-y’. There is still a touch of alcohol in HG’s Moisturizing Hand Cleanser, and though the scent is just a bit too strong in my book, the lavender cuts into and makes it smell better than just standard alcohol. It also provides the same no-rinse quality and my hands have not dried out. I would recommend just utilizing the small dollop that the pump plops out. It doesn’t look like a lot, but it get the job done just fine.

It can be tough to formally review hygiene products (I mean, how much detail do you need about deodorant or soap application?), but Hardworking Gentleman really has a fantastic line that lives up to the expectations we had going in. Some of these products may be an investment, but knowing that you are receiving natural and organic ingredients may give you the peace of mind.
