TrackTown Youth League 2019 Schedule; First Meet is April 12 in North Portland

Do you know any runners that are between the ages of 7 and 14? Be sure to send them (well, their parents or guardians) this information on TrackTown Youth League: a series of FREE track meets that will culimate in a state-wide meet.

There are 16 of these completely free all-comer meets. (All-comer meaning that anyone age 7-14 can sign up. They don’t have to be invited, have a previous recorded race time, or be on a team.) The first is Friday, April 12, at Roosevelt High School in North Portland, and the last is Sunday, June 8 in Salem. Meets are all over the state, so check out the full schedule below to find one nearest you.

The events that kids can participate in include the 100 meter dash, 400 meter, 1500 meter, long jump, and turbo javelin. Even with no prior experience in ANY of these disciplines, kids are encouraged to come, even if just for the experience!

Pre-registration is recommended, as it helps meet organizers better plan the schedule, but day of race (DOR) registration is also available at each. Please view the main Track TownYouth League website for full details. At each meet, DOR registration closes at a specified time and then pre-registered (online) athletes can check in.
