Small Race Preview: 2018 Family Dogs Walk and 5K Run (Portland)

The 9th annual Family Dogs Fun Walk and 5k Run, a fundraiser for the Family Dogs New Life Shelter, will be held on Sunday, July 29th at Mt. Tabor in Portland. The Family Dogs New Life Shelter is a non profit 501(c)(3) no kill dog shelter dedicated to rescuing and re-homing needy dogs of all ages, breeds and backgrounds.

The event will be held on Mt. Tabor (in the pavilion area near the amphitheater). The 1 mile fun walks a paved 1 mile loop around the summit of Mt. Tabor with views of Portland and Mt. Hood, while the 5K run is a mix of pavement and trail. The route will be two laps, giving walkers the option of a 2.5K loop on the 5K route. Of course this event is dog friendly, so bring the pups to enjoy the park!

After the event, stick around (and bring some cash!) for the raffle!
