Senita Athletics: Who Doesn’t Love Pockets?

When I came across Senita Athletics I was immediately intrigued. Why? Because of the pockets. As a fitness professional, I pretty much live in workout wear. I wear it for work, workouts, running, and if you ask those who know me – pretty much everything else. So, I love having usable pockets in my fitness clothing. I also appreciate the reasonable pricing. None of the online prices were outrageous and I noticed that many items were even on sale. I was given the opportunity to try out a sports bra and a pair of capris from Senita – both with pockets!

Senita Athletics Sarah Sports Bra

The Sarah Sports Bra is currently my favorite sports bra. The fabric is soft and a little bit thicker than many of my sports bras. The bra is snug and holds things in place, but doesn’t bind or constrict. It is padded with good quality padding that has stayed in the bra through multiple washings. (Those of you who wear padded sports bras know – bra pads that don’t fall out in the wash is highly unusual!) I have worn the Sarah Sports Bra for both running and workouts and I’m a big fan. It does the job it’s supposed to do and I stay comfortable during my activities. I also found it to be true to size. The unique thing about this sports bra is the pocket on the back. Photos show it being used to store your phone and I thought that was pretty interesting. I tried to put my phone in it, but encountered a couple of problems. 1) My phone is too big to easily slip in the pocket, and 2) it was really awkward to try and put anything in or get anything out of the pocket. Based on spending way too much time trying (and failing) to get my phone into the pocket while the sports bra was on, I would recommend the pocket for something you won’t need quick access to during your run. Despite the pocket challenge, I still plan to purchase another Sarah Sports Bra or two, as it is the best fitting and most comfortable bra I’ve found in awhile.

Senita Athletic High Waisted Capris

I also tried the High Waisted Capris in Shattered Black. The side pockets on the capris are the best! They are both wide and deep. While other capris/leggings I own have pockets that I love, none of them are deep enough for my entire phone to fit into – except the Senita High Waisted Capris. With these pockets I don’t have to worry that my phone might fall out. It is safe and secure in these deep pockets – along with whatever else you want to stash in them. There is also a key pocket in the waistband. While I love the fun black and white pattern, I was disappointed that they are made of white fabric with black print. Because of the white fabric, the capris are quite transparent. If you are comfortable with going commando, you’ll be fine, but most underwear can be clearly seen through this fabric. While I won’t be wearing these for work or working out, due to transparency issues, these are great running capris. They are true to size and didn’t hike up or slide down as I ran. They are comfortable, tagless, and overall a great style and value. I definitely recommend this style of pants, but in a different color/pattern.

Overall, I give Senita Athletics a big thumbs up. I have no doubt I will be shopping on their website soon for affordable fitness wear – with pockets!

In total we have owned dozens of running shorts, sports bras, tank tops, tights, and jackets. After we had our boys, we were determined to get back in shape. We stopped in a few fitness apparel stores to grab new items, but couldn’t accept the prices being offered to us. We knew there had to be an alternative.
