Walk or run the 2016 WillaMutt Strut 5k and 1k, and you’ll be helping the Willamette Humane Society in their mission to help provide compassionate services to pets and people. As a 501(c)(3), they depend on donations and events such as the WillaMutt Strut. Last year, they raised over $26,000 for the Willamette Humane Society through registration and additional fundraising by race participants!
Registration for either the 5k run/walk or 1k walk includes a goody bag (while supplies last), a cotton t-shirt (upgrade to a dri-fit t-shirt for an additional $15), and post race fun, such as face painting, and doggy demonstrations! The event is family-friendly and dog-friendly. Last year’s demos included information about therapy/service dogs, meeting a Salem Police Officer and his K9, and flyball. Local beer from Santiam Brewing will be available for purchase at the event, as well as food options.

Registration: Online. $30 until June 5th for the 5k and 1k. Kids up to 12 years old are free with an adult’s registration; add a shirt for the kiddo for $7.50.
