Portland Marathon Clinic run for Saturday, April 26, 2014

PMTC-logoLululemon Pearl is the start and finish of this week’s run on Saturday, Apirl 26 – the fourth week for the 2014 PMC. They are located at 1231 NW Couch in the Pearl, and the run starts at 8a.

There are very few bathrooms at this start location, however Whole Foods across the street does allow runners to use their restroom; as will Peet’s Coffee if you ask nicely and promise to get your post-run treat there. As for parking, there are parking garages nearby – the closest is the one at Whole Foods; or you can park a few blocks outside of the Pearl District proper to find longer-term meters. The streetcar is also a good option, because you can get off at 10th or 11th and Couch.

Your route this week will take advantage of the waterfront for your choice of 10 or 12 miles, with a pace group leader running at the right training pace for your marathon goal.

Just a quick reminder to run two-by-two and no wider on the waterfront & Eastbank Esplanade, so there’s plenty of room for cyclists and non-PMC runners and pedestrians.

Remember food & drink, dry clothes for post-run, and to say “thanks” to your fearless pace group leaders.

Here’s the rest of the schedule:

All runs are on Saturdays and start promptly at 8a, so be there by 7:45 at the very latest for instructions and to use the restroom before you start.  Click on the location for a Google map showing you where to go. For directions, click on “Get Directions” and enter your starting address.
