Celebrate Mother’s Day Weekend at the Hippie Chick

With Mother’s Day around the corner, there’s no better way to celebrate women than to get out and do the 2026 Hippie Chick Half Marathon! This year, this fabulous Run With Paula event will be held on May 9th at Champoeg State Park.

This event, THE ORIGINAL Women’s Half Marathon, is open to all genders and it’s such a fun experience! If you’re looking for a race for you and your bestie or your sister or your mom, this is the one!! If you’re not quite up to doing a half marathon, there’s a quarter marathon and a 5k option as well.

Champoeg State Park has a $10 fee to park, so consider carpooling to reduce the cost and to add to the fun. You can also purchase a pass at packet pick up on Friday May 8th (at PRC from 10:00AM to 3:00PM) and bypass the pay station at the event and save yourself some time! Volunteers will have a limited supply of pre-printed passes if you have the cash on hand.

Champoeg is a wonderful location for a race and it’s going to be a fun day! Runners will have flat and scenic bike paths and park roads to meander along.

The 5k follows the half marathon route for the first 1.5 miles before turning around back toward the finish line. The quarter marathon shares the road with the half marathon for the first 6.55 miles. The half will repeat the same loop twice. There will be water and NUUN sports drink at all the aid stations and some stations will have GU Energy Gels.

The beer garden will be open from 8:30AM to 12:30PM and you’ll want to stick around to celebrate. There will be music too! Paula’s races always have the best after-parties!!

All runners will get an awesome finisher medal and a Brooks technical race tee. Space is limited to 1000 entries, so don’t delay.. register right now!!
