As a past participant in Bridge of the Gods Run, it makes complete and total sense why this race is sold out. And it would be a great idea if you got on the waitlist for this event right away. Running across that bridge, and then never-ending hills, is simply a great running adventure.
The half marathon and 10K routes for Bridge of the Gods begin on the Washington side of the Columbia River, with the starting line on the edge of the bridge itself. The course is primarily an out-and-back, using the paved Columbia River Highway State Park trail so that you get all the benefits of a run in the woods along with the safety of smooth sidewalks.
Five aid stations on the 10K course, and nine on the half marathon one, will have you well supported up and down all the hills and valleys.
Along with an amazing course (stop for all the pictures; this will not be a PR so enjoy it), participants earn a medal and catered lunch at the finish line.
And one more thing to highlight is that walkers are celebrated at this event with a 7-hour cut-off for completion.
