Addicted to Levitating: Run Oregon is Kickin’ it in some new options from Brooks

The new Brooks Levitate StealthFit GTS 5 has finally arrived and we’ve been putting them to the test. Brooks is marketing this shoe as “the most streamlined support shoe we’ve ever made” and I have to say that I think I agree with them. The knit upper is amazing and very adaptable which conforms to your foot seamlessly with the integrated tongue.

Brooks states that the Levitate StealthFit GTS 5 are a supportive trainer with their GuideRails and DNA AMP midsole which provides a light and springy run to maximize efficiency. These trainers are definitely light and comfortable with the updated StealthFit creating a super cozy and cloud like fit. After putting the miles in on both road and light dirt trails, I have to say that these are my favorite pair of Brooks that I’ve owned or tested. I will make mention though that while the upper is very breathable, in hot runs, it does seem to add a bit of heat especially in the color way tested (Black/Ebony/Grey).

The outsole is typical of the Levitate series and the GuideRails while supportive, don’t feel too bulky or even noticeable. I definitely have been able to take these both on and off road (dry, firm dirt)

Brooks describes its new Addiction GTS 15 running shoe as “soft, supportive, and super protective.” As a person who has been struggling to keep their feet happy throughout long work days on my feet and exercise, I can wholeheartedly agree! Trying a new shoe is always a little nerve wrecking, but the Addiction’s soft support and its 12mm heel to toe drop protects my heel and Achilles tendon, and the slightly roomy toe box allows for relaxed feet for extended periods of time. The new GuideRail technology adds support by keeping sideways motion in check.

I have only worn these shoes for a short period of time, but I can already tell that they are a wonderful addition to my running shoe rotation.
