Race Preview: Inaugural Oregon Cascades 100M (Bend)

This race has been nearly 2 years in the making and I have been (im)patiently waiting for race day to finally arrive. I was signed up to run it in 2020 at its debut but it was canceled, along with the rest of, well, everything. So, for 2021, Oregon has a new hundo and I’m excited to toe the start line.

The Oregon Cascades 100 will be held on August 28-29, hosted by our friends at Alpine Running, and will run a beautiful point-to-point course from Bend to Sisters with about 92% of it on singletrack. With about 9,500 feet of gain and 10,000 feet of loss, it’s a fast course. Racers are allowed a pacer beginning at ~ mile 49, there will be 17 full aid stations, and has a generous 32 hour cutoff.

There are still spots available but registration closes on August 14th. You can sign up online here!
