Thanksgiving Day races have been a tradition for many runners, walkers, non-runners, families, race organizers, and community fundraisers for a long time. In many cases, the Thanksgiving Day event will be a fundraiser for a food bank or a similar charitable cause. With in-person large events canceled due to the Covid pandemic, many charities are having troubles raising the same amount of money as in other years.
Virtual races can fill this void. The Clark County Turkey Trot 5k/10k takes place “virtually” on Thanksgiving morning, November 26, or at another time that fits your schedule. You can choose to run your 5k or 10k in any location as well, but there also will be five courses marked on th 26th from 8-10am. After the event, you can submit your time to be added to the official results.
Registration is open! For $20 per person you can choose your distance, and it includes an event t-shirt and finisher’s magnet. Proceeds from the race benefit Clark County Food Bank.
