From awesome bling to all sorts of other goodies, there is a lot coming your way at the Freedom 5k.

As far as the running goes, every racer gets that small town Americana experience by running in the streets of Molalla on the Fourth of July. A portion of our course is lined with American flags, and we have a live performance of the national anthem and our local VFW present the color guard. The local police department clears the streets before our race to give you plenty of room to run with no worry of traffic. This race also precedes the Molalla Grand Street Parade so you will have lots of cheers and high five opportunities. This race is perfect for your first 5k or a PR with our flat course.

At the half way mark, we have the best volunteers there for you at the aid station with water and Gatorade. Once you finish our race, you get an awesome medal! We hope you love it as much as we do! Now if you are a very fast runner, you can earn some extra bling, as we have have overall medals for male and female runners, 1st-3rd place, and overall masters (over 40) male and female runners 1st-3rd place. There are also age group awards every 5 year increments from 5 years old all the way to 85+ (yes we have an 87 year old eyeing that prize!).

After you get your bling and water, our post-race care is top notch with massage and chiropractic care from our gold sponsor, Dewar Chiropractic. We provide great snacks with Dave’s Killer Bread with Nutella and FRESH picked blueberries from Gingerich Farms.

After the race, you are a short walk from the parade so bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the festivities!

Also, your race entry will secure you a soft tri-blend athletic tee, a matinee Molalla Buckaroo Rodeo ticket (good for 7/4 matinee), and a family swim pass to the Molalla Aquatic Center. Plus, there will be some other goodies and coupons provided by sponsors.

Hurry to sign up! We sold out last year and expect the same this year!
