Race Preview: 2019 Bark in the Park 10K/5K/2K Run/Walk (Eugene)

The 26th annual Bark in the Park will take over Alton Baker Park in Eugene on Sunday, May 19th and it’s the perfect event for runners, walkers, kids, dogs…everyone! It’s more than a dog-friendly event, with 1,000+ dogs in attendance in the past, this 10K, 5K, and 2K event is pure joy.

The Greenhill Humane Society partners with many sponsors throughout the local community to to raise funds – this year’s goal is $120,000 – to care for approximately 3,000 homeless pets every year and provide valuable services to the community. Registration is only $30 and additional pledges are optional but encouraged. One hundred per cent (100%!) of pledges go directly to help the animals at Greenhill Humane Society and 1st Avenue Shelter.

This race has so much information about the event itself, how you can do your part to keep your dog and others happy at the race, where to park, where and when to pick up your packet, what you get if you’re the fastest, course maps, what your kids can get up to on race day, etc. so please check out the website / FAQs and while you’re there, just go ahead and register!
