The Tracy Hoffman Memorial Run for Leukemia will be held on Sunday April 14th and, as always, is free and features a 1 Mile Fun Run, (a recreational run/walk,) the 1 Mile Dash (which is a competitive run,) or the 5k Run/Walk.
From the website:
The annual family-friendly Tracy Hoffman Memorial Run honors a former Willamette student and Kappa Sigma member, Tracy Hoffman, who lost the battle to leukemia in 1982. This free event strives to bring the Salem and Portland community together in the fight against blood cancers through education, participation, and thoughtful donations. The money we raise from our sponsors, t-shirt sales, and donations goes to the Oregon chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society…
This year’s goal is $15,000 so donate what you can (or buy a shirt!) and head to Bush’s Pasture Park in Salem to enjoy the event, yard games (Cornhole, ring toss, KanJam, balloon pop), the bounce house, a silent auction, food, and music, including a performance by Headband A Cappella after the awards ceremony.
Bring the whole family and the dog, too!
