Race Preview: 2019 CPRD Camellia Run/Walk 5k & 10k (Newberg)

Flowers are magical. They make everyone smile and can brighten a day in a moment. So why not surround yourself with them this year at the 2019 CPRD Camillia Run/Walk in Newberg, OR on April 13th? The Eclectic Edge Racing event is in it’s 11th year and it offers both a 5k and a 10k run or walk for you to choose from. Both distances will start at the Chehalem Cultural Center and you’ll be treated to the gorgeous Camillia Festival which is a nice bonus for the day.

The cost for this race is $30 for adults with a $5 discount for those 18 & under. T-shirts will be included if you register before March 25th and participants will also receive a one-gallon potted camellia as well as a virtual goody bag, refreshments, entry into the fitness festival, and a chance to win some awesome raffle prizes.  The proceeds from the race entry will go towards benefitting the Chehalem Park & Recreation Department Youth Sports Program.

After you finish the race, enjoy your entry into the Newberg Camellia Festival,  which will have all sorts of food carts, a beer/wine/sake garden, and live performances and interactive activities at your disposal. Sign up today so you can get ready for a beautiful Spring!

What: 2019 CPRD Camellia Run/Walk 5k & 10k

When: Saturday, April 13th, 2019. 10k starts at 9:00AM, 5k starts at 9:05AM.

Where: Chehalem Culteral Center, (415 E. Sheridan St., Newberg, OR)

Cost: $30 for adults and $5 discount for youth 18 & under through 3/25. Shirt included for adult thru 3/25.
