Strava Segment & Running Meme of the Week: Pier Park Wooded Loop

This week’s Strava Segment of the Week is part of the TRL Stumptown XC Race #4 course at Pier Park. Rather than make the segment the whole race, it’s just a mile that you’ll actually run twice in the race. It’s got a few short, steep hills, but the most challenging aspect of this segment is that it’s XC, so there’s no “easy going pavement” for you here. The segment is named “Pier Park Wooded Loop” and the current course records are held by Chris Masters Kimbrough at 6:26 (November 2015) and Noah Shutte at 5:09 (October 2018).

If you’re on Strava, you should also join the Run Oregon Strava Club! There, you can see the activity of nearly 250 other blog readers and give and get kudos for your effort.

About Kelly Barten (930 Articles)
I started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because I felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. I also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support LOCAL race organizers. I'm a Creighton Bluejay (undergrad) and an Oregon Duck (Sports Marketing MBA), and I live in Tigard with my husband and two kids. My "real job" is working for an incredibly awesome math textbook company doing marketing and production.
