Strava Segment & Running Meme of the week: Cedar Hills Trail Dash

This week’s Strava Segment of the Week is the Cedar Hills Trail Dash. I love running in this area, and there’s a great Saturday group run with the Bethany Runners Unite group (BRU) that starts from the Bethany Starbucks at 8a. Join them – they’re a fun, friendly group of people and paces range from about 8:00/mile to 10:30/mile. They’ll make sure you don’t get lost, and there are usually variations on the route to add or cut distance.

This segment is about 1/5 of a mile (0.21) and is nice and flat. You’re pretty much running through a park (you’ll go behind a few houses) so you have a nice wide-open view to enjoy. As of today, only 134 people have recorded it on Strava, but there are 837 logged attempts. The current course record holders are Bob Jabczynski from May 2016 (1:05) and Jesse Frechette from June 2015 (1:30). Get out there and explore this area and log the segment while you’re at it!

Be sure to also join the Run Oregon Strava Club – just another fun way to connect with other local runners.
