Race Preview: 2018 Uberthons Spring Half Marathon and more

We had a pretty mild winter, all things considered, but now it’s well into spring, and that means it’s time for the Oregon Spring Half Marathon/Quarter Marathon/5K. This, the second of four seasonal half marathons by Uberthons, takes place at Heirloom Roses in St.Paul. I’ve run several Uberthons events there and I think it’s a fantastic venue – pretty surroundings, nice staging area, and just far enough away from Portland to give a bit of a destination feel to it.

(You can read my recap of last year’s event here.)

There are three race distances available: half marathon, quarter marathon, and 5K. All three start in the same spot, head out for about 1.5 miles, and turn back toward the start line. The quarter marathon and half marathon continue farther in the opposite direction before reaching their respective turnaround points. (Half marathon course can be found here.)

And when you are done racing, you get to feast on a spread courtesy of Qdoba!

I wish I could be there, but I’ve got a pre-existing commitment…. D’oh!
