Small Race Preview: 2018 Community Action Agency Superhero Dash (Salem)

When the sky is cloudy and gray, that is exactly when we need a superhero to come and save the day. Or at least an awesome costume to make the day a bit brighter. As Shakespeare once wrote, “Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and some have greatness thrust upon them.”

The Community Action Agency Superhero Dash is your opportunity to be great, to be a superhero. Community members are invited to run, walk, or fly along with their kids and even super-dogs through Riverfront Park in Salem. Adults have 5K and 10K options to choose from, while super-kids can run in the 1K event. Proceeds will be used to help fight poverty through helping individuals gain identification and transportation resources. Race fees and donations help toward the $5,000 fundraising goal.

And in case you need a little more inspiration to dress up (because sometimes its hard to bust out that cape), there prizes for the top three male and female finishers in all races, and prizes for the best dressed male, female, youth male, youth female, dog, and stroller.
