How could you NOT love a race called I Like Pie? You can’t argue with that. This year, I Like Pie and the Bend Thanksgiving Classic are merging for the first time. FootZone is hosting the I Like Pie 5k/10k Run/Walk in Bend on Thanksgiving (November 23rd) in a new location, The Old Mill. You can run the 5k or 10k race either timed or untimed, (depending on what floats your boat,) and there is also the option of a 1 Mile run/walk that will be great for the whole family.
If you choose to take on this adventure, registration is a requirement this year and pre-registration is strongly encouraged. All the proceeds from this race will go to Girls on the Run and NeighborImpact. Please consider bringing 5 lbs of non-perishable food (per person) to donate to NeighborImpact.
Bring along a pie to feed everyone! It can be entered in the pie baking contest if you wish and there’s a $50 gift certificate at stake for the top 3 pies in both the “traditional” and “open” pie categories. If you bring a homemade pie, you’ll get a $10 gift certificate to FootZone. Make sure you read the pie safety guidelines!
The race will start and finish on Powerhouse Drive adjacent to the Center Plaza of the Old Mill District in front of the flag bridge between Anthony’s and The Gap. The 5k course is flat with paved trails along the Old Mill District and the gorgeous Deschutes River. The 10k will take a second loop that is a bit different. Check out the course here. Both routes will be stroller friendly, so make it a family affair! No matter the weather, Source Landscaping will be there to make sure the course is clear of snow.
If you’d like one of the comfy cotton blend t-shirts, they will be available for $15 and only guaranteed for pick-up on 11/22 at FootZone or for pre-order by 11/9. After 11/9, the cost will increase to $20 and the shirts will be available for pick-up at FootZone on 12/12.

Register: Here. You can also pick up and/or drop off a paper registration form at Boys and Girls Clubs of Bend (500 NW Wall St) or FootZone Bend (842 NW Wall St) if you prefer. Online registration closes at 9:00PM on 11/22.
Registration Cost: The timed 5k is $25, the timed 10k is $30. Untimed 10k/5k/1-Mile is $15. Untimed 5k/1-Mile for a family of 2 adults and 2 children under 12 is $30 ($5 each additional family member.) Prices go up $5 after 11/12.
