Stocking Stuffer Ideas: Oars + Alps skincare kits

Untitled Ladies, if you are looking for something unique to fill up a stocking with, look no further than Oars + Alps skincare items for men. This line is made with all natural ingredients and without all the extra "stuff" that is sometimes added to hygiene products. So who exactly is Oars + Alps?

Oars + Alps was built on a herculean objective: Give active guys the best-possible skincare, without the hassle, markup, or toxins.

We believe in 5-a.m. workouts, sweat dripping down our faces, spontaneous sprints, swimming with stingrays, hiking uncharted trails, handstands on the beach, and catching just one more wave. We are a team of doers, wanderers, activists, and dreamers. We chase the unknown, fight for the underdog, triangulate the complexities of trade winds, prefer running barefoot, and always follow our instincts home. Pushing our personal limits isn’t a goal; it’s a state of being. And we’ll gladly race you up that mountain to see the sunrise…because believe us, it’s worth it.

Impressions:

I would love to receive this kit in my Christmas stocking. It’s unique and packaged nicely, and is very functional. The deodorant goes on smoothly and I didn’t notice any overpowering scents. To be honest, I couldn’t really smell anything – which is good for something you are putting under your armpits. The less smell the better under there, the better – in my opinion. The face lotion has a muted smell I can’t fully put my finger (nose?) on, but that’s fine too, I don’t need anything overpowering. One of my biggest pet peeves of face lotion, and the reason I stick to a small handful of brands I trust, is when it’s just too greasy and won’t absorb into my skin with ease. I don’t want to have to use a towel to clean my face off from something that is supposed to clean my face! Oars + Alps’ Face and Eye Cream was definitely fast absorbing and I am liking that their ingredients (shea butter, safflower oil, jojoba oil and protective Alpine Caribou Moss) are natural and probably better for my skin than more mass producted products.

The face wash is actually a pretty cool products – and it’s apparently the first face wash in a solid form. In a nutshell, you rub the face wash directly onto your face, almost like you are applying lipstick – but all over your face. This is genius, as typically cleaning products that utilize charcoal in their cleaning are super messy to apply and prone to spilling. This is just simple. After use, my face felt super smooth and exfoliated yet not aggravated or dried out.

All in all, I am liking these products and they would make a great stocking stuffer. Check out their gift options here.

Thank you to Oars + Alps for providing us with test shoes. Please read our transparency page for info on how we do our reviews.
