Coach Jim’s free group long run for Saturday, January 2, 2016

Are you ready for 2016? Well, ready or not, it’s here! But, to help you kick off the new year at the right pace and correct mileage for your spring half or full marathon are the wonderful volunteer pace group leaders for Coach Jim’s free group long run! As always, these runs are free and they are open to all runners. Paces range from 8:30/mile to about 12:30/mile. New faces are always welcome!

When: Saturday, January 2, 2016

What time: The run starts at 8a. Please arrive at least 10 minutes early so the run can start on time.

Where: Road Runner Sports at 29 NW 23rd Pl. in Portland

How far & how fast: Coach Jim is running (or was running, depending on when you’re reading this) a poll as to where they would run this Saturday, and it looks like most votes are for Terwilliger. I think the mileage will be 14-16 total, but don’t quote me on that. You can view the event on facebook here for updated info.

Bring your own hydration and nutrition, dress for the weather, and come ready to make some new friends! Please note, pace group leaders are experienced runners and would love to answer any questions you have about pacing, fueling, recovery, etc. They’re basically awesome.
