The Sandelie Mud Run 5k and 10k takes place on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Sandelie Golf Course located between West Linn and Wilsonville. Unlike other mud runs, this run does not add any obstacles or mud holes to the course, but is relying on Mother Nature to make the course challenging. The race is limited to 250 participants.
The 5k and 10k will start at the same time near the club house/pro shop and parking lot on Mountain Rd. The 5k course stays entirely on the golf course and be mostly flat (on turf and some pathways) while the 10k also incorporates some gravel roads just outside of the golf course boundaries and will include some hill challenges. Trail shoes and mud shoes are encouraged; no spikes of any kind are allowed on the course. If you want to leave your muddy shoes behind at the end, they will be donated to charity.
Top Finishers’ Awards
Part of the proceeds from this race will be donated to Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, which will also be running a “Fill the boot” campaign with 100% of those donations going to TVF&R.
