Kickstarter of the Week: OKEY

Product: Okey
Location: Hamburg, Germany
Link: Kickstarter
Current Goal: $6,498 of $21,812
End: July 28, 2015

As someone who runs with keys everyday, my running belt is an absolute necessity. A belt does the trick, but sometimes I would appreciate a more minimalistic option. The OKEY is a simple, yet very handy product for runners with this same need. It is essentially a silicone holder that attaches to your keys and connects to itself, via magnets, to keep it snug against your shorts or pants with the keys safely inside.

Here is some info from their campaign:

  • OKEY is simple, easy and intuitive: just remove extra keys, attach it to your pants and you are ready to go.
  • OKEY is safe: you will not lose your keys while running.
  • OKEY is silent: your keys will never rattle again while you’re running.
  • OKEY is comfortable: you do not feel it and you will totally forget about it.
  • OKEY is flexible: it is up for anything, even crazy moves and stretching.
  • OKEY is handy: it can be part of your keychain and cling onto it forever.
  • OKEY is magnetic: it will not only hold onto your running pants but will stick to any metal surface.
  • OKEY is better: instead of one, it holds a minimum of two keys.
  • OKEY is straightforward: it is not a smart device, no cameras, sensors or iBeacons are hidden inside. We won‘t track your run, analyse your fitness level or spy on you in any way.
  • OKEY is sweet natured: it neither harms your skin nor does damage to your clothes, as it is made of silicone (which is hand-washable) and anti-allergic (nickel free) steel. That‘s it.
  • OKEY is eye-catching: prepare for a bunch of jealous glances, yearning for one too.
  • OKEY is fun: you will see

For only $13 USD (or $17 with a carbiner OR $24 for 2), you can pledge to be a part of the OKEY campaign. Distribution is expected in December 2015.
