Once in a blue moon
When you are looking for a summer race, there certainly isn’t a shortage of 5k’s out there. That’s why it is nice when a run stands out through timing, location or theme. Once In a Blue Moon 5k Adventure Run takes place on the evening of Friday, July 31st, with a blue moon shining on participants. Furthermore, this is no ordinary 5k.
Once In a Blue Moon takes place on the rolling hills of Luscher Farms in Lake Oswego. Participants will make their way through fields and pastures, completing 13 challenging obstacles such as trench crawls, balance beams and mud pits. Due to the nature of the race, the minimum age is 14 years.
Participants can sign up as teams of at least four members, which will earn them a registration discount. And you may want to bring your friends along anyway to help you over some of the obstacles. (You have the option to skip any obstacle without penalty.) Spectators are welcome to join the party as well, but they will have to stay on the farmyard and not walk the course.
After the run, stay for some snacks and drink at the barnyard party with music, food, and vendor booths.
