ORRC offers Race Director Workshop this Saturday in Beaverton

This is your final reminder: Oregon Road Runners Club, an all-volunteer non-profit running club, is hosting a Race Director Workshop this Saturday (November 1) in Beaverton.

The workshop is designed with small and non-profit race directors in mind, giving you information and resources to help you get an event off the ground, grow your program, or learn how to better manage your resources. This year’s Workshop will also feature a number of presentations and panel concerning youth running, from adding a kid’s race to your event to starting a running club at your child’s school.

The event will run from 9:30a to 3p at the Oregon Sports Office at 4840 SW Western Ave in Beaverton. Registration is available online here for $33; the program includes lunch and snacks.

We started the Run Oregon blog in February 2007, because felt like running in Oregon and SW Washington deserved more positive coverage. We also wanted to level the playing field so that small, non-profit races could compete with big events; and to support local race organizers.
