For 25 years, the Wildland Firefighter Foundation has paid tribute to 14 hotshot firefighters that lost their lives in a terrible tragedy. Hundreds of thousands of dollars have been raised over that time, thanks to the Prineville Hotshot Memorial Run that takes place in Prineville. 24 years ago, on July 6th, 1994, a group of wildland firefighters from Prineville lost their lives fighting the Storm King fire in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
