Small Race Preview: The 2018 Xtreme Dam Run 20-miler / 10-miler / 5k (Prineville)

Keep your New Year resolution going with the Xtreme Dam Run. This event will take place on February 4th and is presented by Norm’s Xtreme Fitness Center. The Xtreme Dam Run offers athletes three distances to choose from (5k, 10 or 20 miles.) All routes run along the beautiful Crooked River located in th historical town of Prineville . All distances are 100% paved and are very fast, so if you are looking to PR the 5k, then this may be the course for you.
Though we just recently became familiar with it, the Xtreme Dam Run is actually a staple in Crook County and has been in operation for over 10 consecutive years. Proceeds from this event help support the local Crook County track teams. The weather is obviously very unpredictable this time of year so check the forecast prior to arrive. With the cost of entry at an all time low, $35 with a beanie or $25 without, this is a very low cost option. Whether you want to PR or simple get some miles in this is the run for you.
