Get back to the trails this summer for the 2026 Alpine Solstice

What better way to spend one of the longest days of the year than to do a race like the Alpine Solstice!  We all know that Alpine Running hosts some truly epic trail races, and this early summer race is a great way to celebrate the beauty of the Cascades.

This trail race takes runners near the celebrated Tumalo Falls in Bend, Oregon and it will be on  June 20th this year. There will be pre-race coffee provided by Backporch Coffee, so get there early and get caffeinated!

The 55k will begin at 7:00AM and there will be 3 fully stocked aid stations along the single-track trail course. Runners can expect 4000 feet of elevation gain and loss along the route. 90% of the race will be on trails and 10% will be on gravel road.

There will be no drop bag option, but crew will be permitted at Skyliners Aid Station (AS1 and AS2.) There is a 9:30AM cut-off time at the first aid station, a 3:00PM cut-off at the 3rd aid station, and a 6:30PM cut-off at the end, which means runners have 11.5 hours to complete the race.

The Half Marathon will begin at 9:00AM and has just 1350 feet of elevation gain and is mostly non-technical, which makes for a great fast trail half. There’s a 5 hour cut-off to finish, and you’ll need to be leaving the aid station at mile 8.2 by 12:30PM to complete the race.

This event is cupless, so make sure you bring a cup/bottle of your choice to refuel at aid stations. Aid stations will be stocked with PJB’s, chips, bananas, and cookies. There will also be water, Coke, Ginger Ale, and Precision electrolyte drink and gels.

After the race, consider sticking around for the burrito bar and beverages from Cascade Lakes Brewing Co and Athletic Brewing. Everyone will get a custom finisher medal and there will be sponsor prizes for the top 3 in each race category.

Alpine Solstice 55k/Half Marathon $115-$140
