Sprinting into Summer with Artilect tops

With the high temperatures this summer, I am grateful for any and all running gear that can keep me moving. ARTILECT’s Sprint Tee is built for a summertime run and for a quick dry afterward.

It can be a bit of a challenge to do a full in-depth review of a single shirt, but just know that the Sprint Tee is a really solid option. As far as fit goes, I found it has ample length in both the torso and sleeves. It does have a slimmer fit, so you may want to size up if you prefer something outside of that. It is pretty stretchy and flexible, so even with a slimmer cut, I did not feel constricted.

The simplistic visuals are actually quite appreciated. I do like myself something flashy, but Artilect’s tops skew more towards minimalistic. It has a singly logo on the the chest – and that’s about it! Of the 5 color options available in mens sizing, the most flashy is…wait for it…red. The simple design will be perfect in my running collection and could be used as a casual option in a pinch.

Here’s some more key details from Artilect about this great shirt:

  • 115GSM Nuyarn merino fabric offers extra loft
  • 5x faster drying
  • Nuyarn Speed-Lite is spun in a bluesign accredited facility
  • Superfine 18 micron non-mulesed Australian merino wool for maximum softness and wearability
  • No chafe flatlock seams

Nikki:

If you’re looking for something built more for the weather as it cools down, the Sprint Long Sleeve Tee would be perfect. Balsam, the shade of forest green I received, is beautiful in real life. This classic crew neck is very thin, which is not at all surprising considering it’s meant to be a base-layer. One of my favorite features is the embedded reflective tape on the side seams, which allows for increased visibility if you’re out in the early mornings or darker evenings.

Merino wool is especially good for pulling moisture away from your body when you sweat. That interface between your skin and your clothing really helps out when you get hot and it’s even better when you cool down. It’s also naturally odor-resistant. Both of these things are really important if you’re planning to spend a good amount of time outdoors, whether it’s around a campfire, hiking up a mountain, or running on a trail.

Nuyarn Speed-Lite technology means that this fabric is some of the lightest weight technical merino wool in the world. This shirt is super stretchy, durable, and even machine washable. The no-chafe flatlock seams ensure that this shirt will remain comfortable no matter how much you sweat.

As previously mentioned, these shirts are of a slim fit, which means that they will move with your body. The sleeves are long, which is great if you want to cover up a little bit as the sun goes down. It’s also really soft. Gone are the days of assuming wool has to be itchy.

This shirt, a perfectly engineered merino baselayer, checks all of the boxes. I love that it’s so simple and lightweight. It’s super packable, so it would fit easily in a hydration pack or backpack. You could even tie it around your waist and would barely notice it. It dries fast, wicks well, and it’s soft.
