The Mac is back for 2023 and ready for year 27. Race directors Anne and Mike have a smooth system in place for ensuring a well-run event. And even with the maze like course that winds through the McDonald Forest in Corvallis, and touches on the hobbit trails in Starker Forest, this race is easily one of the most beautiful on the planet (I might be biased).
This year’s event will be part of the new Corvallis Trail Series. The series includes: McDonald Forest 15K, Alsea Falls Spring Fling, Marys Peak Trail Run, Run for the Hills and Condor. More information about the series can be found on the Corvallis Trail Series site.
This year’s course will return to McCulloch Peak, the highest point in McDonald Forest. The course often changes but it promises more single track this year! Additionally, there will be over $400 in prize money.
