If you are looking for a middle distance trail race, the 8 mile Butte Buster might be just what you are looking for. This scenic run just outside of Ashland is mostly single track trail traversing through oak savannahs, wetlands, and rock outcroppings. With frequent views of Emigrant Lake and the Cascade-Siskiyous surrounding you, you are sure to enjoy the scenery throughout your entire run. There will also be plenty of ups and downs as this course has 1,000 feet of elevation gain and loss.
The race will start and finish at the west shore of the Emigrant Lake Day Use Area and will have 3 aid stations. The finisher party will include refreshments and finishers will receive a commemorative item (TBD.)
Registration closes on May 5, so don’t delay if you want to experience a run on the lesser known Emigrant Lake trails!
