Race Preview: Cinco de Mayo Races

While most people will still be recovering from Cinco De Mayo on Sunday, May 6th, why not get your heart pumping and your body moving by running the Cinco De Mayo Half Marathon/10k/5k?  The Half Marathon has long been considered “one of the best spring half marathons in the northwest.”

The swag for this race, brought to you by Terrapin Events, is pretty awesome too. Not only will you receive your commemorative hoodie and finishers medal and a beer (it is for Cinco De Mayo, after all.. please remember your ID!) and some food and live music at the post race party. There will also be live music after the event and aid stations every two miles.

The course follows the Willamette River in Milwaukie. There are 3 distances and all are out and back courses, with the half marathon using parts of the Springwater on the Willamette Trail.

Following your efforts in whichever distance you choose, you can enjoy live music, games, beer, and food. All events are family friendly and make a great way to get everyone together for some miles and smiles.
